Manta Rays

During the quick briefing from the staff at the resort, he mentioned the manta rays would be at the end of the dock after our evening meal, so after we stuffed ourselves silly again, we decided to go take a look.

So glad we did, just at the end of the dock were two Manta Rays swimming back and forth taking huge gulps of seawater for it’s plankton.

They weren’t quite what I thought though, I thought they were usually all grey on top and white underneath, these were mostly black on top with grey stripes.

The biggest one had a span of about 10 foot, and it was just gliding back and forth and occasionally flapping its wings like an underwater bird, but still so graceful and sleek.
